Good to see the nation pay heed to our statesman like Prime Minister.

Just like Brexit all soundbites eg herd immunity no plan . His government also needs to be torn apart on his take the pressure of nhs and allow us time to manufacture ventilators and PPE . Nothing proactive everything reactive. His speeches so full of holes everything needing clarification.

Whilst people shouldn’t be just walking the streets needlessly, I still hate to see things like this. Them police look like they are enjoying it too much.

He has literally had weeks to devise a coherent lockdown plan if required. There are examples good and bad all over the world a bit of copy and paste. The day comes when it's needed and we wake up to this . Now I know some.people are being knobs and asking stupid questions but that's what.you plan for. Between clearing out supermarkets to Cheltenham to beaches and parks bunged it is obvious citizens cannot be trusted to make even the most simple.decisions. This requires strong decisive leadership not piers Morgan running the show three days a week on TV .

Governments and the military spend billions on creating disaster plans and running exercises. A pandemic is surely on that list and while the specifics are not always predictable, the main things are. As you say other countries had much less time to prepare and seemed to have coped, we have had the advantage of seeing what they are doing.

The 'honour system' was obviously seen as a good idea but they forgot that there is very little of that in our society and especially in the political world. Imagine if speeding was left to the honours system, I despair as we simply do not have strong leadership, but this is where we are.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell. Makes you think the "wait for herd immunity to happen and the NHS will be able to cope minus a few pensioners dying " was the plan all along.  They were/are so swept.up in their Brexit "success" they think they could do no wrong.

Spot on. All very well complaining about China, in this instance clearly with plenty of merit, but as well as our initial reaction leaving much to be desired, we’re still letting people fly in to the country from Coronavirus hotspots. A child could spot some of the flaws in our approach.

Backs up the theory that they want it to spread. Doesn't make much sense otherwise.

What the fuck is all this about? He's not well. And he's talking about ending social distancing measures in a matter of weeks rather than months.

Absolutely insane.

Who's the goofy, paedo-looking cunt there in the back with the glasses?
