Quite funny, but ironically on the ball, especially the bit about protective face masks. If hospital workers/staff/doctors are infected then the health situation takes a dramatic dive.

I think we will find China as the outlier - it is going to get very difficult I think for citizens in left leaning countries in Central and South America.

South Korea is moving more towards socialist policies, and their national health service is something to be very proud of. As for central and South American countries - there is a broader historical context for them doing poorly but we’ll see. Cuba, as an example, is world leading in medical services and they’re pretty far ahead in finding a vaccination. The US on the other hand...

South Korea -I am not sure about policies moving towards it, but the social welfare and health system have been in place for years.

 

Cuba just told their people to make home made masks - they don't have any. You are right, many people have lauded their healthcare for decades. As I said, it is about to be put to a test, no pun intended.

 

I haven't seen anything regarding Cuba being far ahead for a vaccine of coronavirus.

Almost 1200 cases. Wasn't it about 300 on Wednesday? Quite a jump. But still not huge numbers? 

 

Anyone still going the gym? I went yesterday. Couple of people wearing surgical gloves. I just stayed out of the way on a squat rack, where only the brave don't fear to tread.

Germans ordered millions of face masks but the hospitals who critically need them haven't seen any yet. Kind of sad that a country which is renowned for its efficiency is struggling to keep essentials for hospitals running. I was just reading a Gov't release stating that people should take care about reading false news about the virus, and so it starts!

The sight seeing tour would take about 1 minute. Plus Berlin is only a 3 hour drive. I'm a bit pissed at how selfish you are being, I like Berlin.

I've jibbed anything like that off now. Started doing some martial arts classes recently, then thought about how everyone uses the same focus mitts and gloves, gets all close, and how often you inadvertently touch your own face. I figure I'll leave it until the autumn, if we're all still here.

There’s also the obvious fact that with “left wing” south and Central American nations mostly being under draconian economic sanctions, imposed by the world’s foremost capitalist power, it’s going to be much more difficult for them to formulate an effective response. See also: Iran etc.
