Wolves (A) Premier League 20/1/2020 - 20:00

Recommended Posts

Many said it, one of our two toughest remaining games of the season. Don't get the negative comments about Wolves. Sure they are inconsistent but on their day they'll give anyone a game and that was a fucking superb win for us. Proud as punch tonight.

Holy shit, other fans really cant stomach our success. The bitter, envious post are just getting worse and worse.

Never considered City fans as bitter but they are getting awfully close. Even United fans begrudgingly accept we are the best in the league.

Ince has just said he would have got in this fucking side.

With a straight face.

The man makes Harvey Price look like Bamber Gascoigne.

I saw Tom was playing for Stoke the other night. Ince really sorted his career out good and proper.

Just come back on to say this... What a fucking helmet. I'm all for backing your own ability but know your limits. Cock.

Who cares about the record. Just wanna win the league.

I do. I want us to smash every record in the books and I intend to be completely insufferable for the next decade once we do.

Feel free to be unbearable if we win the league whilst being Euro and world champs.

He grew up with Nigel Benn, and we can safely assume they sparred very regularly.

Why is Joe Cole on the TV.  His speciality is being a thick cunt who struggles with his native language.

At half time, he actually explained our first half goal pretty well, talking about the specific defensive roles the Wolves players were set up for, and how Moutinho doing fuck all threw a spanner in the works. I switched off immediately after the full time whistle so haven't what any of them have said.

Like it or not , Ince in his prime gets in the match day squad easily . Never really liked the gobby prick , but can't deny his quality in his prime

Minamino wasn't too bad considering he was thrown in unexpectedly at the deep end.

Found himself in good positions a lot once he dropped further back, decent pass on him.

Looked nervous though, quite hesitant and played the safe pass backwards a lot.

I'm sure he'll get there soon.

He must have done a worse job on Ince than he did on McClennan.

There was one beautiful moment in the second half when Traore found himself with the ball in space in between, and there was only Virgil between him and the box... He then quickly shuffled the ball to his right and have shot from outside the box. Had he been up against anyone else, he would’ve tried to take him on. The race that Virgil won last year would’ve been on his mind no doubt.

To be fair we don’t normally throw the new boys right in. He did look a bit timid at times but by May I’m sure he’ll be confident and have adopted our steely mentality.

To break the record we need to beat the teams in 17th, 9th, 20th, 17th, 19th, 18th.

Do that and its most ever wins in a row. Which will be hilarious because I remember at the beginning of the season when we were close to breaking it and the city nob heads were saying it shouldn't count because it wasn't in one season.

After that it's the teams in 12th, 11th, 2nd.

Do that we match arsenal's undefeated run of 49, and win the league at the earliest ever point of a season.

I'm sure there's a hundred other records we can potentially break, fucking astonishing this season.

Steady on, it's not won yet!  There's still a chance that this team that has dropped 2 points in the last 32 games could drop 19 points in the next 15 games.

Mind you, one thing is certain - we are mathematically safe from relegation.

Ince is a fucking embarrassment. Team GH on that all the way.

100%.

The best bit was how Ged didn’t dignify him with any reaction at all despite numerous jibes his way from Ince.

We played Middlesborough a year or so later and Ince was trying to make a thing of it, giving interviews about how it was time for them to both be bigger men and put it to bed.

Houllier was asked what he thought of those comments and replied “I couldn’t be less interested in them”. Delighted me, that. Just treated him as a total irrelevance from start to finish.

Ince wouldn’t get near the squad purely on his bellendery alone.

    • It's the 'more money than sense' syndrome. They dont stop to think who is better to bring in. We've grown tired of this one, we're bored, let's chuck it away and use the money to bring someone else in.   This is the thing with martin samuel's 'let them spend cash' mantra. It emboldens fans to think they know better and when the old regime has served it's purpose, bin it off and spend more cash to replace it.
    • Yup. It's why they desperately want him to sign a new deal despite the fact the team looks to be in decline and he's someone who has only done great things in periods of 3, 4 years.   It'd be funny if he left after this season because I bet the club would be gutted, yet their supporters would probably be happy with it at this point.
    • Thing is with Guardiola, they signed Soriano and Begiristain before him with the intention of eventually bringing him in. The whole structure is built for him.
    • Maybe they should just adopt the clear and obvious test for offside. If it's clear and obvious at first sight of the computer lines  then it's offside. If not, advantage the attacker.
    • A complete burk.   I was thinking about this last week. I'm not old enough to remember Souness, Smith, Case etc but they had players like Reid, Sharpe, Ratcliffe, Van Den Hauwe etc.    What about the tackle on Jim Beglin?    From my time going to Derbies, our OTT tackles have been significantly less than theres. I know Gerrard, Kyrgiakos, Kuyt, Baros and a few others have gone OTT but compare it to some of the shit we've endured from Ferguson, Fellani, Van Der Meyde, Mirallas, Barkley, Pienaar, Funes Mori...   Have any of their players ever been injured to the same extent as Beglin, Origi or VVD? Suarez was lucky to walk away from that challenge by Mirallas.   A quick Google will tell you Everton are the side who have collected the most bookings & red cards in the Premiership history and we're the team they've collected the most against. They've had 15 players sent off to our 8 and we've not had one dismissed in 10 years. They are lucky it's only 15.   Even looking back in history on Wikipedia, they have more reds against us when the our players that jabroni was quoting. They quite clearly have an issue against us.
