I dont get the Dynamite love here. I think there are at oeast two better teams here, none of which are Stigs to be fair.

To me Waddle, Sagna and Harte were never great. I also dont get the midfield two of McMahon and Gascoigne as a two. I think i got crucified for having Xavi and Pirlo as a two. I just dont see them as a 2 for a number of reasons.

I think MMs team beats all of them.

I think your wrong on Waddle out of them three. I don't t think we ever saw the best of Waddle in England. He's a legend in France and had he been born there and been at his peak in the mid to late 90s with that French team he would be very highly regarded. Much like Barnes and many number 10s of older generations they just didn't fit into typical England teams.

The lack of respect for quality 90's players is astounding. A front 4 of Fowler, Ginola, Zola and Le Tissier?! Pisses on all but one sides attack.

How? If you want to look at it objectively - which I think is always best - not one of those 4 players was a success-story at the highest level internationally or in the CL. Not even Fowler, who is the best of the bunch. All decent domestic players in a very weak Premier League at the time (attested by 1 Champions League final appearance from any English side in the whole decade..)

Take Zola. Objectively his peak was probably around 94 (post-Napoli; at Parma; good domestic strike record). Italy was a good international side then; he didn’t even make the pitch when they came WC runners up. By the time he left Parma for Chelsea he’d lost his place in the team. A good UEFA Cup/Cup Winners Cup player. Same stratosphere as Gareth Bale, say, who was pivotal in Madrid’s historic CL travails? Not a chance.

Anti-Pogba bias aside (and he was a major component of a World Cup winning team - an outrageous achievement), John probably has the best attack here. Salah & Mane shit on almost any other wingers to have ever played the game of football from a mighty big height and Klinsmann was a pretty significant striker (though I think he’s been discussed here before). Followed closely by MMs attack - where Sánchez peak was a level below Suarez & Bale & Mane/Salah ..

We need some random poster to come along and pick one of you two and me.

How about this as a decider....?

From the players selected in the draft, you both pick a "Best XI". No restrictions. We then vote on who has the best "Best XI".
