He does ramble on a lot, but listening to Owen talk about forward craft (specifically Bobby killing the ball dead to poke it home) is a great listen.

When he gets on to the technical aspects of forward play he is good value. One of the very few pundits who occasionally point out things that actually enhance your understanding of what has occurred ( A shame we don't have as many of them as the cricket )

What a classless bunch of pricks some of those Leicester fans are. Singing that they're going to win the league a few weeks ago, then walking out after we score our second. How quickly they forget where they came from.

And these pundits can fuck off with their claiming we've won the league, a long way to go. Glad to see Klopp dismiss them.

I'm starting to see a pattern in most football coverage. The commentary team during the match are in no doubt: their job is just to describe what's happening in front of them. The studio pundits have to fill airtime with something; if there really is controversy, discuss that; if there isn't, invent some.

They are there to try and keep the viewer interested. Sometimes that must be nigh on impossible when one team is 4 goals up and if the competition is over, they will employ other avenues to generate interest.

Unfortunately as former footballers, this is never going to be their strong point as their brains are not wired for small talk and intrigue. Either the commentator should be driving those conversations or they shouldn't be done.

That was immense. Kept thinking Leicester will have a spell. Didn’t really happen. Blew them away.

best performance of the season. Slap bang in the middle of a silly number of games in December. Klopp is a genius, he might be the second coming. It’s outrageous. I’m running out of superlatives.

fuck.

Dont know how you could only give Gomez just a 7, he was every bit as equal as Virgil tonight. And Alisson deserved an 8 Id say for being assured behind a very good back 4 tonight.
