Am I reading it wrong , it says she commissioned it not that she leaked it does it not ?

No, you’re right. The article says nothing about who might have leaked it.

I’m certain ITV will have checked this story out thoroughly before running with it, in which case it would confirm that the incriminating messages are genuine. This fits with the complete absence of denial from the staff involved 48 hours on from the leak.

If and when it’s confirmed by the party’s own investigation these people all have to be kicked out of the party for good. Ashworth’s position will surely be untenable too.

What do you mean?

The last paragraph about expulsions. Can see Starmer trying to keep everything as low key as possible.

' We have reminded everybody as to their responsibilities,  good of the party , lessons will be learned .... blah, blah, blah '

I was saying what I think should happen, not necessarily what I think will happen. I agree Starmer’s instinct will be to try to ride it out and avoid a confrontation.

However I don’t think that will be possible now, as there is too much anger over this among left-wing members (still a majority or at least a very sizeable bloc, despite his win). Lots of them will leave the party over this, but lots will stay and won’t let it go, nor should they.

No depths they wont plumb, Nelly.

Reading leaked extracts before and wondered what Clive Lewis had done to be referred to as  ' the biggest cunt of them all '

It could be related to him being one of the most vocal defenders of Corbyn's and/or other socialist policies. I still think it was stupid that MP's didn't help him get on the ballot in the leadership contest and another sign of how much of a mess Labour is at the moment.

I think the EHRC inquiry has taken that long that events have overtaken them a bit now Corbyn has gone , and added to that the suspicions about the make up of the EHRC , and its desperation to avoid investigating the Tories over Islamophobia has made most socialist Labour members view them and their supposed fairness wiith massive suspicion.
