Not sure where to post this, but Owen Jones’ is toast IMO.

It's very similar. I don't believe for a second Owen Jones is anti Semitic or that picture was meant to represent anything other than an establishment fat cat but the similarities in art style leave him open to attack. Shame the political style of what Bannon and Cummings create isn't given the same criticism.

 

Fuck what a shitfest the world is in. It feels binary and extreme politically and aggressive with everything.

Petty sure he wouldn't have designed the Spanish cover for his book, and the image looks like a typical 'fat cat' image anyway. People a getting a bit desperate there, Owen Jones is a bit of a parody of himself these days but he isn't anti semitic and the very last thing he is is a bloody nazi. The shit some people get away with in this country and people come up with stuff like this.

This is a worrying development (ignore the headline about the CLP member's alleged criticism of an attempt to build bridges with the Jewish community - it's sensationalist bollocks which isn't borne out in the main text of the article itself). 

 

An unwillingness to totally submit to the narrative that Labour is/was rife with antisemitism may now be an offence that results in suspension from the party. 

 

It appears that we're now in the shut up, know your place and challenge nothing phase of the purge.

But, I'd like to see the context of the article, particularly when a Google images search of "fatcat caricature" brings up LOADS of images of rotund businessmen puffing on a cigar.
