3 points at a time. Not looking beyond the next match. See where we are in May.

This. Last season, I used the result forecaster that the Echo used every so often. Despite being as honest as I could with the results, I always had us beating city to the title. Not going to fall for that one again.

What’s interesting there is City are only 1 point better off at this stage than we were 2 years ago.

At the end of last season, all the hot takes were that we had possibly blown our big chance as while City both could and inevitably would hit 98 points plus again, we had achieved our ceiling and would go nowhere near repeating our form.

Stride for stride with what they were doing at this point 2 seasons ago, let alone last time out.

One thing though is that last season we had conceded only 7 goals at this stage, now that number is 14.

We really should get those clean sheets back.

3 on the bounce - however fortunate - is a good start

I do think a draw between Leicester and City with a big gigantic punch up would be the best thing for us. Leicester are still a bit dangerous, but City are capable of winning pretty much all their remaining games if they get a head of steam.

By the end of January, we will have come through some very nasty aways in Spurs, Wolves and Leicester and homes with the Mancs, Sheffield United and Wolves. I'd love 16 points from 18 but would probably take 14 points if offered now.
