Top display for what was meant to be a high pressure, tricky fixture. Should have really been a cricket score but a 0-2 will do. It will do.

Well it seems churlish to be critical but overall, great result while the in game management and finishing could have been a lot, lot better. Mo and Sadio missed a hat full of chances and the first half, I was having kittens the way we just seemed to want to go toe to toe with them instead of being a bit savvy, slowing the game down and concentrating a bit more.

 

That first half in particular was just crazy, you couldnt have complained if the score had been 5-4 to them, 5-4 to us or even 5-5. I really thought it was that crazy.

 

The 2 goals in a minute killed them thankfully and gave us breathing space. Hopefully topping the group gives us the advantage whoever we draw and we can forget about the CL until next year and concentrate on the PL.

Once more this team gets the job done under pressure. Unbelievable mentality Klopp has installed, by getting not only the right players, but equally important the right characters in. And of course working from there to create a team spirit that seems to be second to none.
