This Haaland cat has intrigued me.

If he knocks us out, fuck me, I won't even be mad.  It takes some player, and some balls, to chat shit and then deliver against the best team in the world.  Have to applaud him if he does it.

Obviously, I hope Van Dijk spends the entire game shoving a finger up his arse and giving him sneaky nipple-cripples, and Haaland ends up leaving the pitch with his shirt over his head, crying.

I don't like the idea that Solksjaer might nab him, with the Norway connection.

Someone likened him to Ibrahimovic the other day. As a player, that's not a good comparison at all. In terms of determination, mindset, and not giving a fuck about what they say in interviews thry are pretty close.  I'd say Zlatan has a bit more mystique and dare I say intelligence about him than Haaland though.

I don't think Haaland will rip it up against the best teams in the league for a while yet, but he'l bully plenty of dedenders with his strength, size and pace. As a player I think a less lazy Lukaku is more fitting than Zlatan. Haaland's a bit more composed and self-confident than you'd expect for a boy/man his age though.

Hopefully Vvd follows him around, would much prefer Gomez played than Lovren today.

Would Genk not need to win for us to be able to lose and go through?

Shit, really? I thought even a draw for them would be good enough for us. Not that I expect them to get anything but a bumming but would have been nice to have that reassurance.

From what I've seen, Lukaku is definitely the player Haaland most resembles.
