I'm guessing GOT is in a state of emergency, bottom three and no easy game on the horizon. Pity they spawned a few wins a while ago as they would be in deeper shit.

Their manager is absolutely clueless.  Their backline was so high for the whole first half.  They were just asking to get pummelled.  We should have played the ball in behind even more than we did.  Mane is just a sensational footballer.  He’s probably the best in the league now.

Their backline was like the match under Martinez when Sturridge and Suarez ran wild on them. Just so easy to clip it over the top.

Attacking-wise we were very good and at times utterly brilliant. The tempo of our play and the Everton high line certainly helped as this was no Moysiah/Big Sam shitfest. This kind of dynamism has gone missing in a few derby games of late, not least the last one at the woodshed.

The goals were fantastic. Sadio was brilliant and almost playing like a playmaker. 2 assists, one goal and he should have had at least one more. Big Div just owns that lot at Anfield (whereas Bobby, the usual first choice, has yet to register a goal in the derby!) and his second in particular was something special. Shaq looked very sharp considering this was his first game in ages. It wasn't our first-choice front 3 out there and perhaps that is why it worked - when you plan to contain the usual front 3, it's harder to work out what to do when the personnel changes.

That being said, there is a curious sloppiness about us in defence. People might point to the absence of The Beard in goal, or Big Bird in defence or Fab in midfield, but these issues have been there even with the presence of all three. The defence is being got at far too quickly when opponents have the ball. I'm not sure what it is. It might be that the initial midfield press is beng bypassed, not giving time for the defence to hold a line and get into shape. It might be that we are somehow allowing more opposition players to approach our own penalty area. It might be a momentary thing in games but it makes the tema look sloppy because we are constantly giving up goals in those moments and letting games be much closer than they ought to be.

Great that Salah got a complete rest, Bobby and Henderson more or less the same. Get Bournemouth and Salzburg out of the way and we can probably rest a few others for Watford at home before jetting off to the sunshine. Also great that those called upon stepped up to the plate.

Seen a few Evertonians saying they were unlucky and should have had a pen. Also Alexander Arnold should have been sent off.

No mention of Mane missing 2 sitters and Mina grabbing everyone at corners. Just carry on believing that the refs want Liverpool to win it and everyone wants to keep them down. Thick bastards.

Let them make up excuses and chat shite, hopefully it will make the players softer as well, because that squad could really struggle in trying to avoid the drop after the run of games they have coming up.

And no mention of Mane getting exactly the same challenge as he rounds the keeper.

Or Keane getting away with 2 yellows

Or Mina playing Rugby at nearly every corner.

Yeah, that was defo a foul on Van Dijk. One of the cunts had him in a headlock.

That was Mina, whilst the other was dragging him down by the back of his shirt.

Are Jenas and Murphy ignorant of the rules  or just dishonest? You can’t have a pen and sending off for the VVD incident any more (not that it was a pen).

Keep driving that narrative, keep crying your eyes out.

Edit: FFS - Stig Murphy there.
