It might be due to Carragher saying last night that they might try and leave any change until the end of the year as a new manager would have to deal with a nightmare run of fixtures in December.

Surely you get the new manager in for them fixtures. Slight chance of a new manager boost and an unexpected few points, plus he gets time to asses the squad. I get that the fans wouldn't see much change if thy got a hiding but the more sensible ones will see the logic surely.

That is my take on it.

Nothing to lose, so less pressure while their philosophy is learnt.

Also agree on the sensible Everton fans shortage.

Im really surprised Emery has failed at arsenal, I thought he'd be a good fit for them.

Pissing myself laughing at the arrogance of their fans though. They wanted wenger out and then they wanted Emery out after only 18 months in the job. They got what they wished for and it hasnt worked so they spat their dummies out.

Jesus, can you imagine how unbearable arsenal fans would be if they won the title any time soon?

Both Arsenal Fans and Man Utd fans have been fast tracked into modern football. They've both been spoiled for such a long time under Wenger and Fergie and they don't know whats happening at the clubs now and who's to blame.

Both Clubs are being run badly from the top and hiring managers that don't cover the cracks of the squads they have.

Didn't Emery have a boss start for them last year? I remember watching them early in the season and thinking "fuck he could do a job with these".

Nuno at Wolves is 7/2 favourite.

Then Ljungberg, Arteta, Allegri, Pochettinho and Howe.

Rafa at 12/1. Gerrard 33/1.

Moyes 66/1. Klopp 100/1.

Think Emery is a bit of a myth myself - he didn't really win many games at Sevilla, they just became Europa League specialists - the new fella has them qualified for the next round as well as in 3rd in the league.

He has definitely got that Dracula look about him. Or Phantom of the Opera.

His win percentage at Arsenal was higher than at Sevila... Arsenal fans and their board are deluded

That win percentage is also higher than what Klopps was a year ago.

I didnt know his win rate at arse was higher than Seville, interesting that. But you're right, arsenal fans are deluded. Or rather, they have a sense of importance they accuse us of having.

Always pissed me off when they used to go 'hoooooof' when they played us under wenger especially as anyone who knew them pre wenger were one of the most sterile teams going.

They havent challenged for the title in years. They say we'd be unbearable if we won the title. Fuck me, they're unbearable now and they've won fuck all.

They went on a long run of games last season without defeat. If I recall, it was around 20 games without a defeat.
