We'd 70 percent possession yet gave away 15 fouls to their 5? In what world does that make sense? That referee just wanted a game of tiki taka and couldn't let big bold liverpool bully the poor Italians! Fucking cunt.

Spanish fucking ref. Quelle surprise.

I'm not sure why we didn't go for it more in the final 15, loss or draw changed nothing as far as the last game goes. A win would have seen us through, now we have another important game to negotiate. I fucking hate Napoli, you can see why the owner fined them, they're a bunch of shitehawks.

Once we equalised we did nothing and everything was pedestrian paced. Had nothing to lose by going for it and loads to gain.

Again the ref was fucking terrible. How is that not a penalty on Mo, both arms around pulling him back. Then he grabs the back of his neck. Even the commentator said, he don't want players to go to ground, but you can understand why they do.

Waste 1 min in injury time and ref adds on 20 seconds, absolute joke.

Anyway, it would be a break with tradition if we didn’t bring it right down to the wire in the group stage.

Aye, getting through the group stage by the skin of our arses is a good omen when it comes to going on to win the thing.

Klopp got it wrong tonight resting TAA, Gomez just can't offer same attacking presence and it really neutered us.

We were even worse with Trent. We lost all the momentum we had built the minute he stepped on the pitch.

Beat Salzburg and win the group. Salzburg have to win so they'll play on the front foot which will suit our forward three down to the ground. Salzburg have some decent forwards with pace, but let's be honest, they ain't anything special. If we lose to them then we deserve a good shoeing.

As is usual with our ponces at the F.A they make sure English teams have a set of midweek games ensuring we have to play 3 games in a week before going to Salburg. No other league in Europe would be so fucking stupid.

He was only on the fucking pitch for 12 mins + injury time. You do realise coming on late isn't easy to pick up the pace and make a difference, especially playing in the area he was. You are talking shite mate.

Well that wasn't much cop and we are now in a tricky spot needing to go and get a result away to what is a very good team.

At least we didn't lose which keeps the unbeaten run going but we really have put ourselves in a tricky spot now - what could have been a dead rubber at a very busy time is now a do or die job.

We are of course perfectly capable of doing the job, but once again we are going to have to do things the hard way.

I think Klopp got it wrong tonight resting TAA, Gomez just can't offer same attacking presence and it really neutered us.

I also think Milner and Henderson at home v a team who were always going to sit in was too conservative.

Going to need a really good performance to get the point or win we need in Salzburg.

Not having keita fit or shaq was a big hindrance. Trent was the choice to start and rest on sat but maybe sports science said he needed a break.

A great chance fucked away by poor officials and a game where we didn't move it quick enough to cause them too many problems. Very very fucking annoying.

Thought Lovren had a pretty good game myself, not only for his goal but he got a decent block in and some good tackles high up the pitch. Had to turn the BT stream off, they are as bad as fucking Sky.

Well, it could have been a lot worse but it's still the last thing we wanted, having to go away in the last game and get a result albeit a draw being enough.

I could waffle on about maybe Jurgen got a couple of selections wrong tonight which in turn, may have let him make different substitutions during the game but what's the point? If we have a shit night, we have a shit night.

Thought the front 3 had a complete off night tonight but as I said earlier, the pedestrian midfield didnt do them any favours. Nice to see Degsy get a goal and Hendo put in a good shift.

We need to start racking up some cleansheets. We're not exactly 'leaking' goals as some hack claim but cleansheet would at least take some pressure off.

Oh well, on to Brighton Saturday.

You’d think we’re going to the bernabeu or Allianz Arena the way some of you are going on, it’s Salzburg, their 3 goal comeback was a complete aberration and we still managed to beat them. Tonight was underwhelming but biggest concern is Fabinho’s fitness, Napoli are complete cunts, hope their fans get filled in by the coppers tonight the fucking neatherthals. Then back to your impoverished little mob shithole. Cunts.

It was a substitution that affected our rhythm and took Ox away from the area he’d been dangerous. A decent sub in theory that didn’t work out because Trent’s delivery was way below his usual level.

It’s now that our failure to strengthen last summer could begin to hurt us. Everyone needs a rest but leaving out any of the front 3 means a drop in our level. Right back looked to be an area in which we had cover, but Joe has been poor so far this year.  We have no option but to trust the squad. Lovren has stepped up, as has Ox. It might be Shaqiri’s turn in the next few weeks. Mane and Firmino need a rest soon. The temptation to keep our strongest XI out there all the time must be almost overwhelming, but if you play Trent (or Robbo) every week they’ll break down.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see 4-3-2-1 make a comeback over the next couple of weeks, especially if Fabinho is out for any length of time.

I said after the game we should have went for it a bit more at the end, draw or loss tonight changed nothing as far as qualifying goes. If we had forced a win we'd be through and had a dead rubber to rest players. I'd have shoved Origi on through the middle in the last 15 to give their back three something different to face, it might have given the other three more space to work with as well.

We have Brighton at home where we should be able to put away and rest players. Then it's the fucking Derby against the rabid blues, so that will be a hard game even if we hammer them, it'll be physical. Then we have Bournemouth away who are a funny old team, maybe we can experiment with formations against them, especially if we win the other two games.
