Have to be honest, unless it is the old style scouse accent I often cringe when I hear scousers on the telly. Nothing worse than people who put on their scouse accent. Just talk like you normally talk you fucccckkkhhhhin prrriiiiiick

Agreed, an old Scotty Road accent like Ricky Tomlinson's is great, that's exactly how my dad spoke and he grew up on Scotty Road.

I'm not much a fan of the real gutteral accent we hear from many Scousers these days, they sound like they're trying too hard.

I knew a girl growing up, lived by me but too good to play out called Denise Mahoney. Main presenter on BBC news for a while and a regular on Watchdog.

she barely had an accent and insisted on her name being pronounced ‘ Marney ‘ got the BBC job and suddenly has a Scouse twang and the surname is pronounced ‘ Ma Ho Nee ‘.

More nasal too, not the warm Lancastrian tone you used to get. Manx’s are ducking weird - was there last night and on the train on the way back there were loads of them reading the daily mail.

You and Stringvest have got proper pure scouse accents. I could listen to you both talk all day.
