Yeah, I can't see any current player wanting to leave in January when the golden fleece is within reach. Despite the fact he hasn't been the player we wanted he has tried when called upon and has played quite well the last few games when we needed fresh legs on the pitch. Plus he can charge Nivea more if he's a CL/CWC/PL winner.

Played well everytime this season but it's the best interests for us and him if he moves on imho. He will never be a first team regular and the last few years have been a waste for him. If he signed a new deal he would just be blocking the path of younger players. Same with Shaqiri

 

 

Unless the plan is to loan Elliot and Jones out for the next 18 months.

He’d be mad to want to leave before the end of the season, and we’d be mad to let him.

 

hes not worth much, so recouping money now is a bit irrelevant, and I’d rather have him on the bench than not the way he’s played this year so far.

 

and he has the opportunity to win the title with Liverpool, one we haven’t won for 3 decades and which every squad member will be semi immortalised for winning.

 

hes a great pro, and whatever might’ve been the case in any other season, we’re all better off if he’s still here at the end of the month.
