I though lot we controlled that game quite well after the start and until about the 78th. I hate the way we close out big games. I understand it, two banks of four and shut up shop. Mourinho’s made his fortune doing shit like that. I don’t think we’re very good at it. Even under Rafa who was the best defensive manager I’ve seen us play under I feel like that shit was a bad idea.

 

I’d like to see us take the approach of killing games by keeping possession. I’d much rather aimlessly pass the ball around for minutes at a time and send it into touch than hoof it and concede possession whilst we regroup for another siege on our goal.

To be fair to Kompany, he's clearly gutted about his old team and mates losing. Shows he cares.

 

Keane, Souey and Mourinho are an incredible panel. The mutual respect just oozes through the room. Don't get me wrong, I like Jamie as a man but this is the alpha male panel of winners. 

 

Huge, huge result that. Palace and Leicester away look like potentially nasty games coming up and obviously the blueshite being a derby won't be as easy as it should be. They have a tough run of games as well though so if we could be 9 clear on January 1st, it would be great.
