I don't mind Ian Darke, he's far more bearable than that skidmark sniffer Tyler

Very frustrating to be going in at 1-1 after dominating the game, need to put the pedal to the metal in the 2nd half because we need 3 points here.

Absolute wank so far. Stupid fucking goals we give away and our intensity is very bad. We need to start putting teams away early, expend a bit of fucking energy and put it to bed and then relax for last part of the game.

Salzberg groundhog day.

WAKE THE FUCK UP!

Salzberg are decent though. They smashed 6 past this team that we're currently struggling against.

I don’t think we’ve taken our foot off the gas. It’s down to conversion rate on chances. We have always needed to be more clinical.

Shite first half

Do this shit to often, games looks easy and they start fucking around lack of effort and concentration and end up making it hard

Want this group stage dead before Salzburg away on game 6

Disappointing half. It's like a training game. No pace or urgency, little concentration and poor finishing. Both Mo and Origi should have scored with those clear chances they had. Milner having a bit of a mare.

That side is neither here nor there. All CL teams can hurt you. Their goal wasn’t exactly coming but they had been getting into the game and we were being passive. Big 45 minutes needed.

Should have kept the intensity up - rest when we’re through FFS

Need to play a more direct style. You don't get any benefit from having loads of possesion and passing it around trying to walk it in. The need to take more risks and that means more long shots, crosses and attempts at one touch play around the box. If we lose the ball then its bad but risks are necessary.

Would have much sooner us not fuck about with this rotated team and played best 11 - got it out of sight and then made changes.

As it is we may end up needing to bring Mane/Firmino on maybe even Robbo to get this done now anyway.

    • Pep is on the naughty step over in bluemoon. They are not taking his comments well about the attendance on Sunday.
    • "Having felt like he was banging his head against a brick wall, Klopp has now decided to take a stand. His post-match declaration that Liverpool will play “the kids” in their FA Cup fourth round replay against Shrewsbury Town at Anfield wasn’t an idle threat or an emotional reaction to a wretched second-half performance after seeing his much-changed side throw away a 2-0 lead.

Instead it was a public declaration of a plan carefully agreed with Liverpool’s American owners behind the scenes last week in the event of their clash at New Meadow ending in stalemate. Klopp told Fenway Sports Group president Mike Gordon that he believed it was vital that all his senior players were given the full week’s rest he had promised them during the inaugural Premier League winter break regardless of the club’s ongoing participation in the FA Cup.     The club’s owners were supportive – backing the manager’s belief that it’s the best policy to maximise Liverpool’s chances of not only winning the Premier League title but also retaining the Champions League. Liverpool’s hierarchy share Klopp’s opinion that it’s ridiculous that the replay, which will take place at Anfield on February 4 or 5, falls within the winter break which the Football Association fought long and hard to be introduced in order to bolster England’s chances when it comes to major tournaments."     Above taken from piece in The Athletic...   https://theathletic.com/1558576/2020/01/27/klopp-liverpool-fa-cup-replay-winter-break-shrewsbury/
    • Fair report on what was a very poor team performance. Fully agree on the root cause - the three stooges in the centre of the field.  No enthusiam, no leadership and no common sense between them.  The total opposite to Lallana & Gomez in the last round. Shrewsbury have the second worst attack (based on goals scored) in League 1 - the top scorer has 4 goals - and Liverpool's defence made them look like Brazil in the second half.
    • This is bang on the money. I personally would like to see some of the fringe/recently injured players get game time as they patently need it, but if we don't go along that route then it gives all the haters more of a chance to see Liverpool knocked out (which they would absolutely love).   Faux fume is exactly what it is.
