I didn't like them when I first saw them on Letterman. The tune was good but he was annoying the shit out of me. I guess he kind of grew on me because I've seen them play down here a couple of times  and they're great live.

Not really. I haven't heard a lot of his stuff,  but what I have heard makes me place him in the hipster cunt region. Plus white people with dreads can mostly fuck off.

 

ETA why do you ask? I don't hear a lot of similarities between FI and John Butler. One is synth based with a nod to eighties style, and the other is crusty guitar noodlings.
