How do you mean? They’re clearly asking the voters to choose. I have very little time for religions but I usually just ignore them... but what they’re doing is awfully dangerous and has potentially terrifying consequences.

What they are doing is wrong, but if British Jews and Muslims are voting en masse the way religious leaders are telling them, the country has bigger problems than Brexit.

And more to the point, who thinks voting Labour or Conservative is a vote for / against Jews / Muslims?

Thats a big worry.

It’s scary as now a conservative win will be seen as the country have voted against the Muslims, and a Labour victory will be interpreted as the country don’t care for the Jews

The former, yes; the latter, no.

A Tory win would unleash the racists, because Tories are relaxed about that. A Labour win would be the safest bet for all minority communities.

I'm not sure about the Muslim members of the electorate, but Twitter is full of Jewish people today disagreeing with Rabbi Mirvis and stating categorically that they will still be voting for Labour.

The thing that I'll never get my head round from the Rabbi's latest pronouncement (and from the pronouncements of others too) is the suggestion that a Corbyn led Labour government will change the way of life for British Jews. It's scaremongering balderdash. Just like it was when the same thing was said about a potential Ed Miliband led Labour government. And the people making such statements know this too.

It’s not unreasonable to assume that the Jewish community might think “our leader pleaded to the public to vote Conservative and they ignore him (us)” if Labour win the election now.

Well, the “Jewish community” is not one monolithic entity so they probably won’t think that at all

Here comes the cavalry.

I'm just surprised it's taken this long for them to mobilise against the Tories.

It's the same with the black community, though obviously all blacks don't just sit under one banner, with one leader, one voice.

Both Muslims and blacks have been treated like shit by this government, by the police, by white gammons.  They did so because, seemingly, they weren't interested in using the ballot box in enough numbers to give a shit about them.  Whereas the Jewish community are, mainly.

Nobody asked for a religious election until the Rabbi asked for one, at the behest of Boris, his mate.

Now they have one, but the problem is that Muslims outnumber the Jewish community in the UK by around 2,000,000.  What's more, the Muslim faith have a habit of being very disciplined and follow orders from faith leaders.

The Tories really have just stepped in shit upto their waist.

On the flip side, the Islamophobics probably outnumber the anti-semites.
