Talk that Jess Phillips is planning a leadership challenge. Oh joy

Sad thing is they'd probably have had a better result with her. Mostly cause like Blair she'd have sold her soul for Murdoch backing.

Going to be extremely difficult and bitter pills to swallow over who to vote for in the future. A probable Labour leadership of people who undermined the last leader for a chance to remove a Tory leadership or parties that can't remove them.

So far it’s looking like Labour has collapsed in the north, as previously they did in Scotland. Not sure someone like Jess is the ideal candidate to win them back

They're talking now, on Channel Four, about the need to put an effective opposition in place quickly.  There won't be an "effective" Labour opposition, only a compliant one.

The one thing that Labour have done incredibly well in this election is that that they've banged the drum so hard about the Tories selling the NHS off to the USA. They have really backed them in to a corner on this!

Now the Tories are in a position where they have no excuses to deliver a diabolical Brexit, but also they can't do it by selling off the NHS to the USA!

How are they going to be able to do these things?

They aren't? Maybe the reason that the Tory front benchers looked so stressed this week isn't because they were going to lose, but because they are actually going to win and they have no way to deliver anything they actually say they can do.

I really fear for Liverpool as one of the last bastions of staunch Labour support in a country that has turned its back on everything we stand for.

We can only hope it come down to a fist fight. This city knocks the fuck out of every other place in the country.

Possibly but after another 5 years of cuts that will cripple them areas not seen since the days of Thatcher they won't have much choice. It would take something huge from the Lib Dems to be the second option, not digging at SD but nobody will trust her as leader. She's tainted by her voting record and links to the coalition.

I imagine they'll just go ahead and do whatever they want, selling off or making cuts wherever.

They have the power to do so, and nobody will have the power to stop them.

Wrexham? What is it with all these shithole dumps who have only ever been arse raped by Tories voting for the fuckers?

They were convinced that is wasn't the tories fucking them, it was the immigrants, taking jobs, claiming benefits, and using our NHS.

They've all been hooked by Murdoch, Torygraph, BBC shite. Say its the EU, Immigrants, Marxists fault enough to people living in shitholes and they'll believe it.

Anyone who reads history and the actual rise of the Right Wing in the late 20s early 30s can see them resemblance to the rise of the modern right at the expense of the left just as it was then.

Find people, groups to demonise and use the media, soundbites to do it. Blatantly lie and deceive and you'll win. People struggling look for something/someone to blame
