So in the hat are......

Leicester

Colchester

Everton

Man City

Oxford

Liverpool

Villa

Mancs

Odds on Man City getting Oxford and Mancs getting Colchester?

Bloody hell! This time it was the youngsters showing themselves to be mentality monsters while the experienced heads had the below-par moments.

Mental game. We seem to score for fun against Arsenal these days, but this game was like the 6-3 and the 4-4 games from the Rafa era. Poor defending caused by a lack of concentration, and a fella up front for Arsenal who scored the only times they ever touched the ball.

Arsenal might have played a lot of reserves, but those players have had a taste for first team football in the domestic cups and the Europa League over the past few seasons for Arsenal. A lot of ours had barely a handful of appearances for the first team at any level. That alone meant that they ought to have been stronger than us even though we had guys like BGJ and the Ox out there.

And yet Arsenal were only in the game because of our own defensive mistakes.

Those are the two things Klopp has to take from this game, because it was full of positives and negatives. Who knows who we'll get in the next round (it'll be the red Mancs or Leicester, while City get a home game against Colchester or Oxford), and there's talk that we won't be able to fit in that fixture because we have the Club World Cup to fit in too.

Looks like they'll have to move our quarter final to week semi finals due w/c 6th jan...there is literally no other date it could be played.

1 semi will have to be delayed.

Yep, sandwiched between the Sheff United at H and Spurs A game.
