Its when their keeper came up for the corner.

No, we really needed to start just keeping the ball at that point.

There was like 10 seconds to go.  Almost absolutely zero risk.  Gazzaniga would have had to leg it all the way back to his goal to take the goal kick, had it gone wide.   So it would have used up more time than what we ended up doing.

Let's suppose he scuffed it or it cannoned against a Spurs player...

We'd have been talking about it for forty years if he had scored , the alternative was it would have gone out for a goal kick or taken Spurs 10 seconds to go and get the ball anyway.

Having said that I acknowledge that Alisson's common sense probably won us the CL last year after he ignored Jurgen demanding he went up for the late corner at Barca.

Absolutely not

Too often we fuck around late trying flicks late on. Milner had the right idea, get to the corner flag in the dying seconds and kill the game

Moreno going storming forward in the 93rd minute away to Villiarreal comes to mind.

Yeah, I reckon he should have gone for it.

Scoring goals is the most effective way of time wasting.

He absolutely should have taken the shot.

Risk was miniscule, there was around 10 seconds on the clock, and would have ensured himself instant hero status for life had he scored. Imagine, just IMAGINE how the ground would have erupted had he scored!

I reckon he would have put it in the back of the net as well, the beautiful Brasilian bastard. His long kicking is ace, he could have easily done it.
