Genk (A) Champions League - 23/10

Recommended Posts

Would be nice to give Virgil a night off, there just aren't that many games where we can afford to do that and this could be one of them.

Saying that, without TAA and with Hoever off with Holland we probably have to play Joe Gomez on the right so that means either Matip and Lovren in the middle or Virgil has to play.

Looking forward to seeing Naby for 90 minutes, hope he can really put together a great game and make himself a big part of our season going forward.

I do think some rotation is necessary and now is a decent game to do it.

If we had won in Napoli maybe. Get this game won with our best side and then possibly rest a couple for the home leg.

Matip is out as well.

Gomez seems to have really dropped out of favour.

Just bout to post this. However, if it was Napoli or Salzburg away, Gomez probably would've started.

I hope this is the case and we've gone for the better attacking ability of Milner rather than the alternative which is that Gomez is still struggling after his injury.
