And for all the years we were utter shite, how many times did they rock up at anfield and win easy?

Correct hateful fixture prefer the near certainty of the Derby.  I hate being overwhelming favourites need to treat them as a poor Burnley and just get a difficult fixture out of the way.

As good as we are If we don't have the right attitude as we have shown so far, this game they are capable of taking points off us. Because its them. They're back up keeper is really good as we've seen, he's going to try make number one he's own.

Hate these games against those cunts, anything can happen.

With all these so called injuries Solksjaer and his merry mancs have a ready made excuse, one which the media will gladly lead with.

Can't find it but someone needs to post the team they ended up with on the pitch last year which in effect was ten men cause rashford was out of game bit on pitch. We couldn't and didn't look like beating them. Knock the tribal optimism on the head a scrappy win will do save the pummeling for Anfield and witness the last rites to the Ole era.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær needs more time and respect at Manchester United

I fully agree with this article, despite its whiff of desperation and bullshit premise- "The choice is simple: potential long-term success under Solskjær or guaranteed long-term failure under a load of different managers."

I saw that piece earlier. It reminded me of one of those Paul Tompkinsesque fan-blogs back when we were dreadful in which various statistics are thrown together without context to suggest that we were doing a lot better than we were and that we were just really, really unlucky. Things really have come full circle. Odd one for a national newspaper but hard to disagree - give Solskjaer as much time as he needs.

I agree that they need to give the right manager plenty of time and money to sort the team out. Sounds crazy that the manager should need money considering they've spent more than almost any club in the world since Ferguson retired but their signings have been terrible and that squad is a mess. However Ole is a shite manager, from a neutral view it's madness that they've entrusted the long-term future of the club to a novice and a failure. Good news for us, obviously.

Patience with managers is good and too many clubs go on the manager carousel.

However patience is only good if there is a clear vision for the future. I'd be patient with Lampard despite them having the same points as Crystal Palace because there is a very clear vision there with a clear philosophy.

There's no point in patience if there is no plan.

A few times, although the scoreline didn't always tell the story.

They were in the best form they’ve been in for years when we played them last season and we were in our worst form of the season at that point.

They won’t have the same confidence and it looks like they’ve lost some togetherness. Will still be a tough game and I expect their crowd will be bang up for it

As long as we leave there with the 3 points, they can have all the excuses they want, and if they can find more, they can pile those on as well. Then we don't have to think about them for a few months until they come to Anfield, when they'll undoubtedly have even more.

Can we not, just for a change, smash them to fucking pieces?

That would make this weekend, which is going to pretty fraught, so much easier

One of Mane and Salah will surely perform this time.

Helps that our key man isn't coming back from South America a few days before this time.

I hate being away to these cunts. Just give me three points and us having a go at them, unlike the pussying about like last year.
