Assuming England beat France, it's Wales/France and England/Australia in the quarters. Wales should make the semis where they're likely to play SA.

Things up in the Air due to the Typhoon. England game cancelled along with NZ V Italy. 

 

Scotland v Japan and other games on Sunday will all depend on what devastation is caused by the Typhoon and whether or not it is safe to play. I wonder if the Scots would be whining if they were in Japan's situation? I'm guessing they wouldn't. 

 

England and France will have the added bonus of a longer rest than their Q/F opponents Australia and Wales.

It’s a pain in the arse, this typhoon. I have Japan topping the group by beating Scotland. That means Ireland get The All Blacks in the QF, which, with the ABs having a history of choking (QFs) could see Ireland, as world no2, sneaking the game. Japan have done very well, but there is no way in hell they are getting up against the ABs.

 

Wallabies to beat England. Wales take down France, but I’m not going to speculate any further than that........

I would rather England gone down the Wales / Saffers route , but there are some potential great matches upcoming. Hope there are no other weather issues.

 

If the Scotland game gets called off I will get my stake money on them back which will be my first return on a bet for a couple of months !!

My mistake - I thought the Wallabies beat them in the QF in 1991, but it was the semi final. So yes, just the one loss.

The All Blacks got over their choking once the homer ref gifted them the final against France back in 2011.
