Yeah, I've no doubt the quality of matches will be good, but will it go into the doldrums publicity-wise and outside of the hardcore fans. To be honest, I probably see more articles about Hendry and Davis than the new breed, never mind Ronnie et al.

Well lets say all the class of 92 do retire/drop the standard in the next 3-4 years, and I am doubtful they all will, there is still the likes of Selby, Robertson and Bingham as successful elder statesman.

With Trump, Wilson, Allen, Hawkins etc bringing up the rear. Still lots of life in the sport yet. But people are right, we do need more characters. Selby, Robbo, Trump, Lisowski even Kyren are truly boring fuckers.
