I think the new home kit is great and I'm glad the colour seems to have gone back to the darker red similar to the shade of red from the 2018 New Balance kit with the v neck collar. 

 

Loads of people have moaned about it being too plain but it looks great.

Only the half-wits and whoppers.  I agree with you, but could have done with a white trim, but still miles better than the shite we've had for the last two years.

I haven't liked or bought any merch in a few years, hated last year's kit. I've ordered this from Nike though for running and gym. Nice.
