Brilliant Stuff that Flies Under the Radar

Can be anything.

The humble scourer on the stick. I don't own a dishwasher, the kitchen is too small for one anyway so its manual dishwashing in this house. I don't mind it, its kind of therapeutic with the Radio playing. These make it 10 x better though. When I was a kid we used to have a cloth that I think we had for about 4 years. My mum used to boil a kettle and leave the cloth in the sink steaming after every use. Whoever invented this needs a medal and a Nobel Prize.

I don't even know why I called it humble. It is the cock of the kitchen.

The film Any Given Sunday. One of the best sports films ever and visually excellent. A peak into the seedy corrupt world of the NFL. Superb cast and its got Steamin Willy Beamin in it.

Nail clippers. Such a simple design yet underrated. Imagine having to use a pair of scissors to cut your nails. Fuck that. Well in, clippers.

Great shout.

Touch lamps.

Totally removes the the fear of a spider biting your hand off when you had to stick your hand up the light shade to turn it off/on.

Took me a while to think of something as I have everything mentioned in this thread so far.

Anyway: exfoliating gloves. Scrub away all that dead skin in the shower without needing to use a separate exfoliator wash. Plus you will use less shower gel in the long run as the gloves hold the lather so it doesn't get washed away.

Meh - exfoliating gloves.

How about an old school loofah. Rhymes with Moofah and is multi use (allegedly)

Obviously if you want to ram something up your arse then scrubbing gloves aren't going to cut it.

I sprained my Lateral Collateral Ligament (between knee and shin) whilst walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks and the only way I could complete the walk was by lathering my leg in Biofreeze. Amazing stuff.

I'll throw playing board games in to this - not a specific one but the hobby as a whole. Seen by most as a niche, nerdy thing (no denying), it's a great way to get out of the house, socialise, relax and unwind from work. My ideal hobby.

It's done wonders for my back- I did something to it when swinging kettle bells around and Biofreeze really helped.

As for board games, I love playing them with the kids on Winter evenings. Risk, Pandemic and Ticket to Ride were great- we did try Talisman, but it was a bit fiddly and too nerdy even for me...

They have them at Vue/Odeon. Only issue is they up the ticket price for them unless you get some discount codes.
