Agree. They seem to think they've already won both trophies for some reason. Hopefully they are as fragile mentally as the national team.

The Gremio chairman even said Liverpool were not an elite team then they got twatted in the semi 5-0 by Flamengo.

Yeah, like many I really hope River Plate twat them.

The heat of Qatar is another reason why I'd rather we faced River Plate, if we do make it to the final.

They are managed by that George Jesus who used to manage Benfica and seems to be a bit of a tit, even though he did wind Tim Sherwood up when they knocked Spurs out of the Europa league.

Isn't he the bloke who pissed off Benfica by managing their rivals Sporting after he left them?

Yeah. He looks like he was in some Merseybeat band in the 60s.

Hahaha. I had to check as it was bugging me. He was actually manager of Sporting first, went to Benfica and then returned to Sporting thereafter. I just remember my son's best mates father who is Portuguese banging on about him being more of a Judas than a Jesus.

Ha. I think he was the Sporting manager when their fans stormed the training ground and attacked the players in the dressing room.

They then lost a cup final to Rio Ave a week later. The equivalent of us getting beat by Huddersfield in the FA cup final.

Hopefully if we have to meet them he hasn't lost his magical touch. Most bookies have Flamengo as slight favourites to go through.

well after 68 mins i don't see anything for us to worry about.

Yeah, these don't look any better than any side we've faced in the league this season. I reckon Genk would give them a game from what I've watched so far. Let's break with our past on this trophy and just go and smash these cunts.

In fact just looked up the heat, seems alright to me, it would seem fair to think it's not going to be above 65F according to this....

Average Weather in December in Doha Qatar

Daily high temperatures decrease by 6°F, from 79°F to 73°F, rarely falling below 66°F or exceeding 84°F

Daily low temperatures decrease by 6°F, from 65°F to 59°F, rarely falling below 54°F or exceeding 71°F.

They have two full backs in their mid 30s and that Gabigol couldn't get a game for Inter when they were shite.

Hopefully they get carried away about the prospect of playing us again and get overwhelmed.

Does that red card for Babosa at the end count towards this WC finals?

Not sure but if it did he would only miss the semi final against the team from Qatar or New Caledonia as it was 2 yellows.

Ah, thought it was a straight red.
