I scored highly in a Psychological study for Bournemouth Uni last year, which apparently showed I’m a Super Recogniser (genuinely), using both the Cambridge Face Memory Test and the other widely used one.

 

I’d only previously considered the benefits to be the sky-high levels of acclaim I’m now afforded by friends, my dogs and people manning supermarket checkouts, who I realise I’ve told many times before due to my expert ability at differentiating them from their colleagues, but can’t help reminding.

 

Is it possible I’ve not been creaming some financial rewards which go with my elevated social status?

If your kids rolling their eyes and saying "here we go" is considered payment then yes, otherwise nope. Follow that link from earlier and register your interest. You may get further test that hone in on where you are strongest. I've done tests on babies faces, various races and videos as well as long term tests with weeks in between tests. They update their test and try different types of recognition all of the time and I get them sent to me. If you've got a police type background and live down south there are some job opportunities but as yet not much if anything up here.

If I chose to move down south given my employment history I could if I wanted seek employment in that field. But that just means that I see less likeness in faces than 99% of the population. A quick google search will send you to their basic tests, if you're any good they send you regular tests, with some referrals to other researchers around the world.
