We shouldn't be - we've probably played more of these warm up games than any team....albeit without so many key players.

Massive switch is killing us. Trent is tucking in to protect Matip for no reason. We're too narrow, can't pass the fucking thing, can't control it so can't create anything and we're very susceptible to the counter. 

And between the lines, they're getting loads of joy.

Hmmm, we're having a bit of a Utd of last season style pre-season at the minute. 

 

I know everyone say results don't matter much, but winning breeds winning. 

 

Am I the only thinking our players have rested on their laurels, and the fact we haven't brought in any new players to put pressure on them heightens that sense of ease in them?? 

 

The late great Bob Paisley used to say the quickest way to go backwards is to stand still. He's right. 

 

Spend some fucking money and give everyone a kick up the arse.
