Other Football - 2019/20

To be fair I think it was mostly because the original idea was to do away with meaningless friendlies and the 3 in a group system meant one team ended up with a meaningless friendly each time.

I am not sure why this had not been thought about beforehand , as it was hardly rocket science.

Nations league draw for anybody who gives a shit.

Funny that they've changed the format and increased the number of teams in each league to squeeze the Germans in to A.

Another 180 minutes of Ireland v Wales. It's what the world's been waiting for.

Just realised Gomes played for Everton on Sunday. Christ, that's an insanely speedy recovery given that his foot looked like it was hanging off. Great to see him back so quick, rivalry aside.

Drugs. Blood transfusions to make it heal quicker, PEDS to build up the muscles quicker. Definitely something dodgy coming back that quick. A mate of mine has a sports science degree, he reckons that Gomez done a lot of his rehab in Germany and Austria, the only 2 countries where you can obtain the drugs.

Yeah agreed.

Oh Liverpool devalued the FA Cup by resting players against Shrewsbury yet wednesday fans can't even fill their stadium out against city in the 5th round.

Yep this. Like Ive said before (again), it doesnt matter what league you're in, not getting relegated from that league or, trying to get promoted to the next higher one is more important to clubs. That's why it has lost its magic, not because us and others field weaker teams.

Starting line up >£450m against mid-table Championship team. Pep the Cheque strikes again, well done, you.

And that was the B team back five .

Good to see that £200 million academy they built is paying dividends

Manchester City's recent dominance of English competitions is unrivalled, says manager Pep Guardiola after winning a third successive Carabao Cup.

"That is awesome. No club before in the history of domestic trophies, not counting Europe,
