The thing is though, there's got to be some margin of error for the VAR interpreting when exactly the player who plays the pass to the offside player strikes the ball. I'm not a scientist or a mathematician but you've got to be talking a tiny fraction of a second making all the difference to whether or not not the goal is awarded, so I think it's arguable whether it's even "correct". It's clearly a load of bollocks to be ruling out goals like that though

So 20-30 cm or 8-12 inches looks to be the limit of detection. Utter nonsense to base calls on anything less than that.
