Other Football - 2019/20

City had nearly all of the ball without really opening Lyon up, so the result and performance is definitely a smash-and-grab job by Lyon. That last 10 minutes had everything you want from a City game. The 'controversial' goal against, the Pep meltdown on the touchline, Sterling missing an absolute sitter and the counter-attacking goal when City's defence is all over the place.

*looks for gif of Nic Cage trying and failing to hold in his laugh in Face/Off*

McManaman on the commentary team was embarrassing. No 'we' don't all want City to do well. No 'we' don't all want other English clubs to do well. City have been shown to be trying to cheat the system, so no way should they receive any plaudits. They had their appeal withheld by CAS on a technicality, not because they were innocent of the charges levelled against them. He might have once played for City, but that was the same club only in name. When he was there, that was their true level.

Fuck off Pep, and fuck off City. This trophy has fuck all to do with you and your plastic self-entitled fans and your financial doping owners using blood money to prop you up.

To be fair, the majority of Blue Moon are blaming Pep. Very few posts about VAR.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Pep left to rejoin Barcelona.

Laporte literally changes his run to run in front of Dembele. Never a foul

Just said the same thing, the City player runs across the path of Dembele therefore initiates the very slight contact.

That Sterling miss was a work of art, illuminated beautifully by the Lyon goal that followed.

Amazing, a few years ago they had Paul Dickov up front and were competing in the Dulux Cup or some shit, unbelievable fanbase.

What the fuck, Lineker? He starts by saying that Pep sometimes out-thinks himself, and then goes on to say "... the genius that he obviously is".

He's had top the benefit of top quality players wherever he's been, and at City, he's spent rings round him, only to fail to win the one they really want. Where's the genius in that?  What has he built with his own craft, guile and tactics from fuck all? When has he had a team that was better than the sum of its parts largely from the benefit of his own contribution?

Fuck off with the cocksucking. He's nothing special, and certainly not a genius, 'obvious' or otherwise.

Don't think they have the squad or money to temp him.

He'll get away from the pressure of City though mate, the fans are already turning on him and hopefully UEFA have a close eye on them as in regards to whatever money they give out. They'd need to spend a fortune to sort out that back line. Silva is off, Sane has gone. Auguero is in jury prone and his only replacement in Jesus is shite. Barcelona have bigger problems but the fans will realise Guardiola would have a big rebuild job ahead of him and they adore him.
