Officers attended a report of persons in the canal opposite Nottingham station. A Forest fan had jumped in to celebrate a win over local rivals, unaware of the late equaliser.... Goal for Derby (Martin 90+7') Derby 1-1

Hahaha, is he a closet Everton fan? Sounds exactly like what one of them would do.

Can't believe they held on, worked their bollocks off!

Means we had enough points before lockdown to win the title after all!

The maths will be wrong and we will be robbed of the title due to an administrative error!

Yes; there has been a very trite suggestion that Kompany leaving has been their undoing. Well, Kompany started 13 of 38 league games last season. The arguement doesn't really hold water. For context Adam Lallana will quite probably have made as many appearances for us this season as Kompany did for City last year.

More likely is that they, like any team, will suffer from a combination of Silva/Fernandinho being at the end of their rope, Sane being unavailable all season and Aguero being perennially injured (he scores a goal-a-game when not). Sane and Silva are leaving while I expect Fernandinho/Aguero will contribute less -- not more -- next season. I actually think it is as possible that they fade further next year than emerge stronger, summer recruitment excepted.

Fernandinho moving out of DM is probably their biggest problem, he offered a ridiculous amount of protection for their defence, mainly tactical fouls like but he got away with them near the halfway line. Seemed like last season city only ever dropped points when he was injured or suspended, he was the first player I looked out for on their team sheet last year.

Like you said his legs are probably going so he can't play DM like he used to, but he's not the same player at CB and they've yet to replace him.

Overall teams get a about 4-7 ish years at their best, United had their ups and downs whenever they refreshed the squad, its just cities turn, they'll be back in a season or so but the transition from the old guard to new will take time.

Congratulations to Southampton  - Premier League champions 19/20

According to ian ladyman, city's charge to next season's title started at the emptihad with the 4-0 win last week. He wrote that before city crashed to defeat at Southampton though!

Yes there's probably a decent arguement that Fernandinho has been their most important player alongside Aguero. De Bruyne is top quality, obviously, but they had a better point-per-game last season with him largely out of the team than him in the team this season. They've got other players who can fulfil his role but Fernandinho offers a unique skillset to them. Between last summer and this they'll have either lost or have widely diminished 5 of their previous first 11 with Walker on the wane too who has been very important. That's a lot of players.

You have to buzz off these Man Utd fans on Twitter. They come up with stupid pointless scenarios to argue that they are better than Liverpool.

"Imagine if the league started yesterday, we would be top of the league"

"Bruno Fernandes is the best Portuguese midfielder in the league whose team plays in red"

"Our front 3 have outscored Liverpool's front 3". Even though we've played part timers in the Europa league and Liverpool played in the Champions League.

That Mark Goldbridge really believes that they have better players than Liverpool and they will win the league next season.

Be dead hollow anyway if they win it.

For all the talk of 'asterisks' people like to throw around, if there is one competition that would deserve an asterisk against it this season it is the European Cup.

Got to disagree, the asterisk is just shitteh, cheating cunts

Whey are people so confident United won't be a threat next year. They do have some excellent players and could easily go out and spend a fortune buying more in the summer. It's foolish to be dismissive of anybody.
