I think we all recognise what's happening with United's fanbase and players like James. It happened to us not too long ago.

When you're poor, for some reason as fans you tend to blame the players based on expectations rather than quality. So we would celebrate the likes of Maxi Rodriguez and Lucas, and blame Gerrard for our failings, in the same way that United fans celebrate James and McTominay and blame Pogba for all their problems.

Actually, it's hard to find a Gerrard in their squad, a player with real quality, but Pogba probably comes closest. Was just thinking through that squad to find a player to finish the analogy and ... they really are poor, top to bottom, aren't they?

I actually don't think their squad is that far away. There are a couple of obvious holes to fill that are easy to spot, but their problem is that they have someone like Ole managing them. Someone who is basically replacement level. The average Premier League manager like Big Sam or Mark Hughes would do a similar job.

Absolutely set up for Pogba to come on the man's to get a iffy penalty. Him to score it and the wank fest of the Pogba,-Fernando's midfield to start.

Slackjaw doing fuck all for Spurs

And that tugboat paced pound land John Terry looking shite as per for the mancs.

Always said if he can stand on the edge of the area doing all those 'English Braveheart' defending he looks fine but up against pace, pulled out of the area he's a fucking liability

100 percent. Spurs have been shit too. Pogba will come on and it will be "that night in paris" overblown bullshit once again.

I think Keane was right but bordering a bit on ridiculous by doubling down. De Gea shouldn't of caught that ball it was a fine save.

That was sensationally bad from Maguire. Started with about 3 yards on his man and within 5 seconds was 5 yards behind him.

Keane with all the hallmarks of someone who has been stuck inside with noone to shout at for 3 months. Should ask him his views on covid.

They're like Liverpool under Gerard  and Rafa they've got a potentially good side to properly challenge for the league but they're just lacking that certain something. But as we know that's the hardest thing to obtain

Solskjaer is no where near the quality of Houllier or Benitez as a manager. Totally different worlds.

Also - Maguire, Shaw, Lindelof all have it in them to be unmitigated disasters in any given game. De Gea too increasingly so. Not a good look when 4/5ths of your defence have it in them to throw ricks game to game.
