I reckon if it did come down to winning the league at Anfield and it had to be played behind closed doors, there’d be 50,000+ Liverpool fans there all dressed as empty seats.

I imagine there will be about 50,000 fans stood outside anyway, trying to make as much noise as possible so the players can still hear us.

Might as well just let us in at that point, save themselves the bother.

Chief medical officer was on 5 Live area saying that preventing large gatherings has no appreciable effect on the spread of the virus.

That having been said, if it happened there would be calls by City and Blooshite fans accusing us of spreading the virus wide and far and calling for a points deduction or banning from domestic football for ten years.

Yep I heard something similar. Someone in the football ground is vulnerable to the two people right next to them whereas watching in a pub everyone is vulnerable to a lot more people in a smaller space.

My blueshite nephew was saying last night all games will be behind closed doors and it will be a major anti-climax for us and how it is going to be hillarious for them.

My blue brother just looked at him and said nah they'll party on the streets like we did in 87' and fair play to a great team and a boss manager. Then he said oh yeah you wouldn't remember what winning is like because we have been shite since you were born.

I just sipped my Peroni and gave nephew scrooge a nochalant shrug.

That would be correct if static, but you pass by many more people when going to the jacks or getting a pie at half time etc. So it isn’t only people right beside your seat that are vulnerable.

You pass more people at work, in a supermarket or walking around the city.

I think I read somewhere that you're considered to be exposed if you spend more than 15 minutes in close proximity to someone. Although given the queues for pies and pees last time I went, that's entirely possible.

Like many others that occasionally read the interweb I am now a fully qualified Virologist and can say with some confidence that is probably bollocks.  This thing is much more contagious than normal flu or colds and even the briefest contact with an infected person can pass it on. The flip side is if you have this bug you'll be far too ill to fancy a meat and potato pie so you'll be fine.

No worries for the Blueshite given how rarely they have a large gathering in a football stadium.
