This is exactly the sort of result Man Utd needed today. Great stuff from Solskjaer, who has surely shown enough over the course of the season to convince Woodward that he’s the man for the long-term project at Old Trafford.

Exactly. A defeat would have left Ole in a precarious position. He's back at the wheel.

I think praise for Soyuncu has been limited to pointing out that he's better than Maguire, for much less money. Which he is.

He is definitely better than Maguire and he is quite talented, that's obvious. But there's been shouts already for him to leave for a world record fee which is absurd. He's way too stupid and rash right now.

They showed all nine goals from October on the big screen during the warm up. In hindsight probably not the best idea from the arrogant cunts,

It could have been some twat in the box thinking he's funny, but you wonder if Rodgers knew about it. For all his faults, he's usually quite respectful of the opposition, so not sure he'd be thrilled about it.

That's me officially not worrying in the slightest about Leicester anymore. Not a hope in hell they finish above us

They had a great run while it lasted. Most of the teams they beat you didnt expect them to lose against. Hope they do well in the league cup though.

Pleased for Danny knocking em in for Southampton too.

That’s some turnaround from Southampton after the last fixture.

Half sorry we didn’t keep Ings now, though his opportunities would have been limited.

Fair play to the Southampton board for sticking with the manager who's name I can't spell

Goes to show you shouldn't always fuck your manager off when he has a few bad results.
