I think it is a good way to describe Vardy. He is pretty one-dimensional as a striker. The reason why Vardy is special though is because he is a freak of nature. His natural fitness and his pace are unbelievable. There are stories he doesnt even use the gym. That is not common.

His timing, runs and positioning are pretty top notch too. If you taught Usain bolt how to strike a ball he wouldn't be better than Vardy.

Vardy runs in behind with his absurd pace and stamina, knows where to be and can finish. He is one-dimensional and extremely good at what he does and thats great. No one is saying anything different, but he isnt a complete player. The reason he is great is very much tied to his extraordinary physical ability. 

 

I have no idea what the Usain Bolt part means. He has been a sprinter all his life, you cant compare that to someone who has played professional football all his life.
