Deserved win for the Czech's.

Piss poor tactics from Southgate. No communication between the CB's, especially from set pieces. That Kean is absolute gash. Playing two defensive midfielders against an average team, dear me, plus no width whatsoever from your full backs despite the added defensive cover? He basically let the Czechs boss the midfield and England just humped it to runners. Playing both Sancho and Mount in an away game at this level was madness. Hopefully he realises he isn't half as good as the Media build him up to be and he stops thinking he can tinker as much as he likes.

He's using the kids, hoping one of them is going to pull a moment of madness and he'll be hailed as a genius for having faith in the new generation. That only works if you have a fucking clue about who to select and what you're doing with the current generation.

Even when he was hailed by the Media for doing well I always felt he was just being a tadge lucky rather than being the Messiah they made him out to be. He thinks he can tinker off the back of that and his true worth is shining through. Still qualify for the finals, but the quality at Euro finals is way better than a WC, he could get embarrassed big style.

I suspect he still, in his own modest way, believes wholeheartedly in the media hype about himself. But if he can't even nail the basics of his CBs communicating with fellow defenders, then all the 'new age' shite they spout about St George's is not worth a toss. Sometimes you don't have to reinvent the wheel, but just use the one you've got for the purpose it was designed.

Roy Keane spot on with his scathing words about Rose being abysmal. Rose just shakes his head at other players to try and switch the blame onto them for himself being bang average. The cunt can't defend, which is kind of important when you are playing as a defender, he only looks good against cannon fodder and he can bomb forward. Chilwell is miles better, as is TAA v Trippier. Keane is absolute dog shit, unfortunately there isn't much better out there at the moment.

Tripper has actually been really good this season. Although he's got a competent club manager, and also plays alongside much better defenders than he does with England.

he wasn't totally bad at defending today, you can see that side of his game has improved. He offered little width though, which was probably more down to Soutgate's tactics. TAA is still a far better and more dangerous player though.

I'm not sure why they went away from 3 at the back. They could hide the shite CB's better and it fits their attacking full backs well also.

Purely down to Southgate tinkering. When has he ever played with two holding MF players? I can't remember him doing that, even against the good teams. The gaps between defence and the forward players was huge, it negated any threat England pose with pace most of the evening. It was only due to the fact the Czech Rep are bang average themselves that England actually created a few chances. That MF was a disgrace tonight and Southgate's tactics meant there was no out ball from defence a lot of the time. he should get hammered by the media for that, but we all know they'll go easy on him because he's a nice lad and wears nice suits with pretty waistcoats.
