It would be hilarious. He'll be worse than Mourinho for falling out with half the players, and then want them all replaced with 200m superstars who are going to ask for double Sanchez' wages. All with Woodward negotiating everything.

There were quite few rumours in the English press before they gave Solskjaer the job and when they finished the season in underwhelming fashion there were more rumours that the board believed they had acted too quick to give him a contract.

 

In addition to Zidane there were all the rumours of what players he wanted. Basically what you have said, superstars who would cost megabucks and want paying a fortune.
