I hope it stays like this. The more daylight between us and any contender that isn’t City, the better; it removes a potential source of pressure in having to watch for teams further below us when we inevitably do drop points. Spurs, Arsenal and the like will still have money-spinning CL places to play for, I don’t think being out of the title picture means they’re any more or less likely to take something from City (or ourselves, for that matter).
