Its close to  £5 a jar over here though.

You might be able to get hot versions, but the ones I’ve had haven’t been. Always but it at Christmastime.

Branston pickle is one of the essential items I always bring back over here with me. 

 

Mate of mine brought an enormous catering size jar over for himself on Monday. I think he got the train instead of flying purely so he could bring such decadence back with him. He produced the jar in the pub and it was magnificent. He was a god amongst us mere mortals. Reminded me of the bit in 2001 just before the space bit.

Branston pickle is one of those products where you have to buy branded, any supermarket attempt at it is just pointless and shit. 

 

Much like Marmite, Lea & Perrins, Colman’s English Mustard etc.

Tend to agree but I do quite like Marks and Spencer’s Branston. However, their Piccalilli tastes of sweaty armpits.

Got a jar of Branson week leading up to Christmas. Last time I had it was as a kid. Never again. Couldn't believe how sweet it was.
