Branston Pickle

Just had a cheese, smoked ham and branston pickle butty and it was glorious, elevated above the norm because of the pickled onion cheddar and the branston. Havent touched pickle for years, but christ i'm all over it now.

 

Is there any better condiment to add to a ham and cheese sandwich?

I'm not saying its better, but lashings of Coleman's mustard is the only competitor.

Crisps in a sarnie are great, I love a bit of crunch. Roast chicken flavour crisps in a cheese and ham sarnie with mustard is where it is at.

Hmmm. Never thought of adding crisps to that combo. 

 

As far as crisp butties though, it's gotta be a coupe of slices of heavily buttered and shit white bread with no goodness. Then crack open a big bag packet of Walkers cheese & onion. Crush the bag in your grasp, liberally douse with Worcester' sauce and then empty the contents onto the bread. For the perfect accoutrements, pair with a pickled egg and 14 pints of real ale.

Fucking love Branston Pickle. I prefer the sandwich pickle version though with the smaller chunks. Makes them more evenly distributed in the butty. Details, yo.
