Just got in, half pissed and caught the missus watching the Tennis, just as Konta bowed out. She more or less had the first set in the bag as I checked my mobile for the latest scores whilst sat in the beer garden drinking ale.

Was hoping Jo Konta would win today but she was pretty awful , her only tactic seems to be twatting the ball as hard as possible on every shot.

Game on for Federer. Nishikori played well in that first set, you wouldn't bet on Fed coming back though. Djokovic pissed his Q/F against Goffin. Agut also made the S/F's in 4 sets. Querrey v Nadal about to start.

I have an irrational hatred for Federer's smug grid, but he's so fucking good to watch.

 

Really can't decide whether to watch him walk over Nishikori, or see if Querrey can cause Nadal some trouble.

I think Fed has mellowed out a bit in his latter years, plus he is one those players who accepts things going against him, rather than having a pop at the umpires or his opponent.

Yeah, a tasty match indeed. Nadal looking strong, but Federer has a chance on grass, Nadal does have a great record against fed but mainly on clay and hard court.
