Hard to see past Djokovic, fed or Nadal in the men's. That Greek lad Tsitsipas might cause an upset. Women's is wide open at the top, hence the generous prices. Most have that Barty as favourite yet her odds are around the 4/1-5/1 mark. I'd like to see Petra Kvitova win it again.

Heather Watson safely through to round two after beating the American McNally 7/6-6/2 after a tight first set where neither player wanted to hold onto serve.

Was pleased to see that as I like Heather but she barely seems to win a game these days.

Her 'table-tennis' serve is quite amusing on the BBC Sport website.

I shall have a look for that later mate. Watson is down to 122 in the World rankings, she used to be top 40. Just never upped her game after breaking into the top 50.

I obviously put the Indian sign on Tsitsipas , out in the first round the useless cunt. I should e-mail him and demand my 2€ back.

I only watch for the clunge.

As long as you stick to the players, the majority of the crowd are fat birds dressed in Union Jack apparel.

Evans through to round 2 in straight sets. That young Brit Harriet Dart just knocked McHale of the USA out, good scalp that.

Aussie players Kyrgios and Tomic doing their usual don't-give-a-fuck antics. Kyrgios was messing about in the second set (which he eventually won on a tie-break) and completely gave up the 3rd set 6-0, before coming back to hammer his opponent in the 4th and take the match. His opponent must have thought he was taking the piss. Not much sympathy for him either as he's got a shit moustache. Tomic lost in straight sets in under an hour.

Watson out in straight sets. Normality is returning.

Stan involved in a five setter.....and is out 8-6 in the last set against an American called Opelka who I've never heard of.

Edmund serving to stay in the game.

After spunking a 2 set lead an all. Only got it on in the background so not sure if he is getting through this with an injury, I noticed he called on the physio. Wasn't it Kyle Edmund who said he thought he could win Wimbledon? He'll be upset when he looks back at this.

Don't know but if he did, he wont be winning this one.

I'm sure it was him, I remembered chuckling at the time. Think he was 30th seed, Verdasco was unseeded, typical Spaniard come back, they always dig in and make sure the opponent doesn't get an easy 3 zip win. The press will now big up Evans and more so Konta and Murray/Williams in the mixed doubles.
