  1. 1. The Smiths or The Jam?

Couldn't care less about either of them reforming.

The Jam = Poundland Small Faces

The Smiths = had their moments but reforming would just be pointless & crap

Actually band reformations in general are generally money orientated & pretty shit. Not really arsed about any bands I've liked reforming.

Still one of my favourite Viz columns. I wanted a "Morrissey is a Twat" t-shirt so much I ended up getting my own made.

Up there with the "WE'RE SUPPORTING TIM!....all the way to the quarter finals" re Tim Henman and Wimbledon

Johnny Marr is a great guitarist and a genuine nice guy according to those who know him. Morrisey is just a racist cunt who seems intent on destroying The Smiths legacy and what they stood for at the time.

This is the final word.

If the question was, which band was better, I would vote for the The Smiths.

Nah, it’s not the final word. In my opinion, band reformations are generally shit and they are money orientated, but plenty of people enjoy and take pleasure from them.

Tony, you know as well as I do that we simply can't have people deriving any pleasure from anything. The shower of bastards.

It depends upon the motivation for reforming.  The Stone Roses reformed and put out a couple of new songs, but the motivation was clearly money - hence the big festival type concerts.  If they'd reformed and put out two new albums, that would have been better.

The smiths because I like them a hell of a lot more than the jam but in reality neither.  I even went to watch a smiths cover band and the singer threw flowers into the crowd I threw one back and hit the singer in the face, it flew like a fucking spear.

Weller makes me cringe almost as much as morrisey these days, especially with his photo poses with his weirdo kids.

The Jam were superb, they wouldn't be now. The Smiths were ok,they'd probably be ok now at best. Both have moved on and should continue to go that way.

To be fair it’s a pointless debate as The Kinks are reforming.

Piss all over both.

Once had a Ray Davies concert cancelled , but to be fair his excuse was better than the usual flu , seeing as he had been shot in the arse at a cashpoint.

Saw him years ago, was half story telling/autobiography and half gig.

He was class but he wouldn’t even mention his brothers name so I’m amazed they’ve agreed to get back together.
