Mook's right Cloggypop he was 21 in 1967 and he held his "infamous" birthday party at the Holiday Inn Michigan in which among other things he allegedly drove a Lincoln continental into a swimming pool. I think it resulted in the band being banned from all Holiday Inn's for life

Didn't know about the date but suspected it wasn't a birthday party.

 

I can't remember the exact details of the top of my head but they sponsored the Escort in a couple of rallies, I think it was a Withers of Winsford or a David Sutton Cars effort but would have to double check. If it was either of those the photo would most likely be 76 at the latest as they'd all gone Mk2 by then mostly. 

 

I presumed the photos was something from an announcement/launch party kind of deal.

 

There was also a Mini they sponsored, but I don't know much about that one as my area of expertise is mostly the Ford side.

 

More information that you neither want or need to know shall be forthcoming once I have forced the brain cells to kick in as the day progresses.
