Just want to gather interest, right after this one, would anyone be interested in either a Ligue 1 draft or a French speaking countries draft before the start of the season? I would run it.

 

The Ligue 1 draft would have no restrictions and the French speaking draft would have a max of 5 players from France or something like that.

A combined Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Eredivisie one would be good. A limit of 4 per league but if one player has played in all 3 for example, you just declare what league you want him assigned too.

I think we did that before - France, Germany, Holland combined. If not then something very close to it.

Surprised at the indifference to my attack to be honest. 1800 goals. Messi speaks for himself. Zarra held the goal scoring record for 50 years before him. Puskas is one of the games greats. These drafts, perhaps understandably, always end up being defined by modern players. Defeats the object of making it an all time draft.

Zarra is the only one people will and should question. He played in a league that was rife with persecution of socialist teams and players, in a era just after the Spanish cival war and during and just after WW2. He didn't play in a era of European football. Its similar with Puskas, had he not joined Real he wouldn't be remembered, scoring goals in Hungary and only really being known for his international career and the few friendlies Honved played against the likes of Wolves etc in the early 50s
