Got a discount code for a vinyl from Amazon so I’m going to order either The best of The Kinks 1964-1970 or The Who hits 50. What say the GF?

Considering you're talking about getting vinyl, I would imagine The Kinks would sound better in that format. What little I've heard of their stuff just seems more suited to it.

Saw Ray Davies years ago, was a brilliant night, it was half story telling and half gig. 

 

He told the story of how they smashed an amp to get the sound they wanted.
